Three things decide how long a floor lasts: the wood you walk on, the joint that holds the boards together, and the core nobody ever sees.

Wear layer

3.5 mm of real oak. Enough to sand back three times.

Most engineered floors carry 0.6-2 mm on top - one deep scratch and there is nothing left to work with. A 3.5 mm layer can be sanded back two or three times across the life of the floor, each time returning a surface that is close to new. That is the difference between replacing a floor after ten years and keeping it for thirty.

The joint

Woodloc® 5S. Walk on it the same day, with no adhesive.

The joint locks in five directions, pulling the board edges tight and holding that pressure over time. No adhesive means a faster install, no solvent smell in the house, and boards that can be lifted and laid again somewhere else.

Construction

Three layers, cross-grained. The floor stays put.

Wood moves with humidity - that is simply what it does. Laying three layers across each other's grain makes the layers hold one another, so the board barely changes size between a damp season and a dry one. It is also why an engineered board works over underfloor heating and a solid one does not.
