Nordic Choice Hotels bought Hotel Amaranten in 2013 and has since renovated the hotel’s 461 rooms, restaurant and spa area. Tengbom Architects was commissioned to refurbish the hotel that is situated in Kungsholmen, Central Stockholm. Clarion wanted to reposition the hotel to become a personal and conscious business and leisure hotel. Materials, colors and shapes were chosen to represent 60th century character with a modern touch. Various rooms feature the parquet styled Kährs Oak Palazzo Fumo to reflect both heritage & modernism.

EDINBURGH MARINA RETIREMENT DEVELOPMENT

Kährs whitewashed Oak Linen wood flooring design has been chosen for Edinburgh Marina’s Royal Wharf retirement development show apartment, in the Old Gunpowder Store. Previously used in the 19th century as a gunpowder warehouse, the building has since been magnificently restored into a luxury show apartment with a contemporary interior style.

GLENEAGLES HOTEL & SPA

Set in 850 acres of beautiful countryside in the heart of Scotland, Gleneagles boasts one of the most luxurious destination spas in the world -The Spa at Gleneagles by ESPA. The new spa was designed by leading spa brand ESPA and award-winning interior designer, Amanda Rosa. Kährs Walnut Vermont was installed throughout all of the twenty treatment rooms, adjoining corridors and relaxation rooms. With its rich chestnut tone, the Walnut wood floor is the perfect complement to the elegant cream and brown colour scheme used throughout.

HOTEL SCHWANEN

Hotel Schwanen stands for extraordinary hospitality in the region of Swabian Alb. Schwanen guest rooms show depth and space through the means of intelligent lighting. Floral motives of the surrounding environment reserve have been installed in the rooms to stand for timeless modernity, love of nature and regional identity. The strong features were complemented by Kährs wood flooring, which fitted into the environment naturally.

BARRA BARN AT BARRA CASTLE

Unique and stylish events and wedding venue ‘The Barn @ Barra Castle’ includes over 800m² of Kährs Oak Espace grey-toned wood flooring design throughout the premises. The Barn, which is situated in the grounds of the 16th century Barra Castle, has unrivalled views across Aberdeenshire – providing a breath-taking backdrop for any occasion.
