EDINBURGH MARINA RETIREMENT DEVELOPMENT

Kährs whitewashed Oak Linen wood flooring design has been chosen for Edinburgh Marina’s Royal Wharf retirement development show apartment, in the Old Gunpowder Store. Previously used in the 19th century as a gunpowder warehouse, the building has since been magnificently restored into a luxury show apartment with a contemporary interior style.

HOTEL ALTES KAUFHAUS

Altes Kaufhaus hotel was designed in consideration of former plans and pictures with its baroque gable from the 16th century. As it’s built on the old wall of the harbor, the hotel seems to hover over the bank of Ilmenau in Lüneburgs historic water quarter. The extraordinary hotel features modern interior and a cozy atmosphere of warm and light colors which have been completed by 450m2 of Kahrs Oak Linen.

The legendary Kuhstall in Ischgl is well known because of its Après ski parties after long and exhausting skiing days. With an exclusive brand one can buy a souvenir in the Kuhstall shop to take his memories of his Kuhstall experience at home. Kährs Parkett was installed at the wall and on the floor and fits perfect to this trendy alpine location.

YANG SING ORIENTAL HOTEL

Created by Gerry and Harry Yeung, owners of the award-winning Yang Sing restaurant, this landmark boutique hotel is the first Oriental hotel in the UK. Situated in a sympathetically converted Victorian Grade II listed building, which was formerly a cotton warehouse, then later a bank and a storage building, the Yang Sing Oriental Hotel was given a 1930’s modern classic Oriental look by architectural designer, Roberta Fulford. All of the 48 individually designed bedrooms and suites, as well as the bar, reception and lounge areas, feature Kährs’ distinct dark brown matt Oak Espresso flooring.

The new spa was designed by leading spa brand ESPA and award-winning interior designer, Amanda Rosa. Kährs Walnut Vermont was installed throughout all of the twenty treatment rooms, adjoining corridors and relaxation rooms. With its rich chestnut tone, the Walnut wood floor is the perfect complement to the elegant cream and brown colour scheme used throughout.
