The Haworth Castelli Creative Centre in Rome, designed by Enrico Realacci Architectures, is truly fascinating. Visitors experience a quiet, calm and harmonious working-space, with colourful accents and lighting that stimulates creativity. The space creates a feeling of being aboard a ship in calm waters. To achieve this unique atmosphere, the designers worked with materials and constructions that absorb unwanted noise. Oak Nouveau Brown wood flooring complements the exclusive design of the centre, whilst contributing to the ambience of tranquility.

JAMESON DISTILLERY

Formerly called the Old Jameson Distillery, the “home of Jameson” on Bow Street first started distilling Irish whiskey in 1780. After production was moved to Midleton in the 1970’s, the site was converted into a visitor centre, which attracts over 300,000 tourists each year. During the refurbishment, the original fabric of the listed building was carefully protected and historic findings carefully managed. Choice of floor: Oak Unico and Oak Domo

HOTEL ALPENHOF

Very close to the Murnau nature reserve “Murnauer Moos” is the idyllic Hotel Alpenhof. Located between Munich and Garmisch-Partenkirchen, the Murnau nature reserve is characterized by the impressive Lakes and view of the Alps. 200 m² of Oak Indossati was installed in the newly designed lobby with a lounge and bar. The white oiled vintage wood floor from the Da Capo Collection fits perfectly with the new concept, providing an empowering atmosphere right in the hustle of daily life.

HABERDASH

Form Us With Love has designed the interior of the newly-opened store, Haberdash, at Upplandsgatan 50 in Stockholm. FUWL approached the project by researching and selecting material that reflected the details and the high quality of Haberdash fashion. The result is an interior with material being used in a creative and new way. For example, Kährs’ Ash Sandvig not only exists on the floor, but also as table tops and shelves.

VOLKSWAGEN AUTOSTADT

When organising the launch of the new Volkwagen Golf, at its “Autostadt” showroom in Wolfsburg, the Volkswagen team searched for for 2,000 sq. metres of wood flooring that could be installed in just 24 hours. In addition to fast installation, the specified floor also needed to complement the building’s modern, open-plan design, whilst robustly withstanding the weight of the vehicles and the footfall of 400 visitors over the two-day period. Hard Maple Toronto offered was the ideal solution. The sturdy hardwood offered durability, while its light tone provided a bright, contemporary feel.

CRAFTBREW BAR

Kährs wood flooring has been specified for a stunning floor and wall surface installation at Salford Quay’s new CraftBrew Bar. Installed as part of an extensive refit, Kährs Oak Sture was chosen for its rustic grain and contemporary grey-toned finish, along with performance benefits. The one-strip boards were installed through the bar floor area and clad onto walls, to create a fluid panel aesthetic. Housed in the Digital World Centre on Lowry Plaza, CraftBrew is a rustic café-bar with an eclectic interior design. The tone and tactile finish of Oak Sture adds to the venue’s intimate feel, which combines wood and metal finishes, abundant spot lighting and a stunning mural across one wall.
