When organising the launch of the new Volkwagen Golf, at its “Autostadt” showroom in Wolfsburg, the Volkswagen team searched for for 2,000 sq. metres of wood flooring that could be installed in just 24 hours. In addition to fast installation, the specified floor also needed to complement the building’s modern, open-plan design, whilst robustly withstanding the weight of the vehicles and the footfall of 400 visitors over the two-day period. Hard Maple Toronto offered was the ideal solution. The sturdy hardwood offered durability, while its light tone provided a bright, contemporary feel.
