The Pinnacle is built on the site of the former Mercy Hospital, a neighbourhood landmark since the turn of the century. The exterior and interior design, which combines concrete and brick, is inspired by a mix of historic architecture and uses the same materials seen in the surrounding neighbourhood. The developer, OPUS Development, installed Walnut Boston – a wood flooring exclusive to Kährs – in most of the spacious, light-filled rooms.

HOTEL ALPENHOF

Very close to the Murnau nature reserve “Murnauer Moos” is the idyllic Hotel Alpenhof. Located between Munich and Garmisch-Partenkirchen, the Murnau nature reserve is characterized by the impressive Lakes and view of the Alps. 200 m² of Oak Indossati was installed in the newly designed lobby with a lounge and bar. The white oiled vintage wood floor from the Da Capo Collection fits perfectly with the new concept, providing an empowering atmosphere right in the hustle of daily life.

This Hattan villa in Arabian Ranches has a harmonious feel with its large open spaces and glass features. Kährs Oak Cornwall’s bevelled edges, brushed surface and matt lacquered finish gives maximum wood feeling.

VAIVAI RESTAURANT

The interior design concept of Vaivai restaurant in Frankfurt is a combination of raw industry look and Italian “Fiera” atmosphere. Different materials were installed to give room’s unique charm and character. The combination of new/old and the expression of the urban way of life play a major role in this concept. The vintage design boards from Kährs are a perfect contrast to the modern design furniture and the bare concrete.

ELECTROLUX

A new concept to an automotive showroom has landed in Ballindamn, Hamburg. The new showroom features leading technology coupled with traditional comforts to create a new shopping experience. Touch screen displays with configurator tools and personal consultation staff complete the interactive package of this showroom, whilst a centered bar and lounge area outfitted in Kährs Oak Sture adds traditional comfort to ease the mind from technological advances

AREA 8

When Mikaela Bandini moved to Sassi di Matera 23 years ago, she has never dreamed of owning one of the most popular bar’s in Italy. But that’s exactly what happened. Area 8 is a multi-functional space that houses an agency and production house by day and a café and theatre by night. A unique and very liquid project that aims at experimentation in all fields of communication, digital photography, marketing and cinematography. As head of Area8 Mikaela Bandini chose Arbusto Collection, Oak Canus, because it underlines perfectly the flair of these unique rooms.
