HOTEL MONTES

The former Haus Bergheim Hotel closed its doors for the final time in April 2014. Following a complete make over, the newly named Montes Hotel was born, to welcome guests from the early winter season of 2014. Montes focus on offering comfort, by making its guests feel at home. Wood flooring has been used to achieve that warm, homely feel as 800m2 of Oak Village have been installed throughout rooms and apartments of the hotel. Rustic Oak Domo was used in the breakfast area, whilst Oak Tan has been used in the relaxation area. The characteristic boards complete the beautiful appearance of the hotels harmonic interplay of tradition and modernity. Choice of floor: Oak Village, Oak Domo, Oak Tan

In the heart of Sölden, one of the top addresses for winter sports fans, The Central is located. The team of the 5-star luxury hotel used the summer months 2015 to unite original hospitality and elegance at the highest level. The basis here was the use of high-quality materials. In the course of the modernization, [ ] In the heart of Sölden, one of the top addresses for winter sports fans, The Central is located. The team of the 5-star luxury hotel used the summer months 2015 to unite original hospitality and elegance at the highest level. The basis here was the use of high-quality materials. In the course of the modernization, they decided to use Kährs parquet. In the newly designed chalet style rooms and suites, the entrance hall and newly built hotel bar, approximately 1400 m² of Kährs oak parquet flooring were installed.

ESPRESSO HOUSE

Sweden’s Espresso House is one of the fastest-growing coffee chains in Europe. Its coffee bars can be found in places that experience a large flow of people, such as train stations, shopping centres and shopping streets and offer attractive meeting places for people looking for a break during the day. Over 30,000 people visit Espresso House every day for a cup of coffee in lovely, cosy surroundings. Several of its coffee bars throughout Sweden have had wood flooring laid – on the walls. The flooring that has been chosen is called Oak Sparuto, which has a brushed and handscraped surface with rustic features such as genuine cracks, knots and wooden plugs. Each board is unique and contributes to the coffee bars’ cosy environment.

CONCERT HALL AARHUS

The music hall in Aarhus was originally designed by Kjaer & Richter and was inaugurated in 1982. The newly added Symphonic Hall was built especially for symphonic music, so the hall’s internal dimensions were dictated by acoustic considerations. The hall has a Nordic colour scheme, with grey acoustic panels, black seats and a light Ash Kalmar floor from Kährs. In contrast, red adorns the rear walls and when the acoustical panels are adjusted, the same red colour is also used as a background.
