The former Haus Bergheim Hotel closed its doors for the final time in April 2014. Following a complete make over, the newly named Montes Hotel was born, to welcome guests from the early winter season of 2014. Montes focus on offering comfort, by making its guests feel at home. Wood flooring has been used to achieve that warm, homely feel as 800m2 of Oak Village have been installed throughout rooms and apartments of the hotel. Rustic Oak Domo was used in the breakfast area, whilst Oak Tan has been used in the relaxation area. The characteristic boards complete the beautiful appearance of the hotels harmonic interplay of tradition and modernity. Choice of floor: Oak Village, Oak Domo, Oak Tan

PRAGUE NATIONAL THEATRE

Opened in June 1881, the National Theatre in Prague sits proudly on the banks of the Vltava River, its golden roof gleaming on fine, sunny days. This unique venue plays host to some of Prague’s finest ballet and opera performances. The building is owned by the Czech Republic’s foremost cultural institutions and has a rich artistic heritage. When replacing the floor of the seating area, Jatoba Brasilia, with its rich russet tone and even grain, was the perfect choice. As well as complementing the imposing interior design, Kährs fulfilled the theatre’s specific requirements for exceptional durability and longevity.

With it´s 25 levels, Kronjuvelen will be a new landmark overlocking Gothenburg with panoramic views of the city, the Göta River and old shipyards. VOLKSWAGEN AUTOSTADT

When organising the launch of the new Volkwagen Golf, at its “Autostadt” showroom in Wolfsburg, the Volkswagen team searched for for 2,000 sq. metres of wood flooring that could be installed in just 24 hours. In addition to fast installation, the specified floor also needed to complement the building’s modern, open-plan design, whilst robustly withstanding the weight of the vehicles and the footfall of 400 visitors over the two-day period. Hard Maple Toronto offered was the ideal solution. The sturdy hardwood offered durability, while its light tone provided a bright, contemporary feel.

The Regina is a luxury hotel built in 1897. In 1937 the 400 rooms are transformed into 88 apartments. Oppidum Renovation is a company with a team of architects, specializing in the renovation and creation of luxury homes and apartments. Oppidum trusted Kährs with the floor Oak Nouveau Snow from the Classic Nouveau Collection.

ARRIVA CONDOMINIUMS

Designed by BKDI Architects, and developed by Torode Reality Ltd., the three glass and steel towers feature a brick and sandstone finish at the base, to reflect the architectonic style of the surrounding historic buildings. The towers are 34 to 42 storeys high, making them the highest residential buildings in Alberta. The towers are 34 to 42 storeys high, making them the highest residential buildings in Alberta. Phase one of the project has already been completed, and the open-concept residences have been fitted with premium interior details and a selection of hardwood flooring from Kährs, including Hard Maple Alberta and Walnut Vermont.
