CLARION AMARANTEN

Nordic Choice Hotels bought Hotel Amaranten in 2013 and has since renovated the hotel’s 461 rooms, restaurant and spa area. Tengbom Architects was commissioned to refurbish the hotel that is situated in Kungsholmen, Central Stockholm. Clarion wanted to reposition the hotel to become a personal and conscious business and leisure hotel. Materials, colors and shapes were chosen to represent 60th century character with a modern touch. Various rooms feature the parquet styled Kährs Oak Palazzo Fumo to reflect both heritage & modernism.

ROCHE BOBOIS MONZA

As the world leader in selective distribution of high quality designer furniture, the French company Roche Bobois is now represented in over 40 countries. At the store in Monza, Italy, high quality wood flooring by Kährs has been installed to complement the high quality designer furniture. The 400 m² laid parquet from the Linnea Habitat Collection is Oak Tower, a large-format 1-strip plank with low installation height.

SCANDIC HAMBURG EMPORIO

The Hanseatic metropolis has a lot to offer: the Elbphilharmonie, the Speicherstadt, the harbour with its jetties and lots of water. “Water” is also the dominating design theme in Scandic Hamburg Emporio, which opened in 2012. The Hamburg house of Swedish origin was established in 2017. The newly built 7th and 8th floors perfectly reflect the prevailing pattern of water. The veneer flooring Oak Tide from Kährs Linnea Lodge Collection is an excellent framework for a furnishing concept that combines art with sustainability.

LUSH

Kährs hardwood flooring Oak Sevede has been installed at the Liverpool Lush store in various areas including the spa and office sections. The Liverpool flagship store, which is the world’s biggest Lush store, is a destination with Lush products, a spa section, hair salon, perfume library and a florist all in the premises. Lush is well known for their work with environmental concerns and strong ethical practices. “Our beliefs and ethics are at the centre of everything we do and, as such, it is important that our suppliers have the right credentials and fit with these beliefs. We have chosen Kährs to supply our spa flooring and we are really happy with the result that we have been able to achieve with this collaboration”, said Rosie Goodbourn, Materials Researcher for Lush.

TC TRAINING CENTRE

The floor specified for the TC Training Centre was originally a laminate. However, the performance and visual benefits of a hardwood floor convinced the owners to invest in a genuine wood product. Other advantages included fast and simple installation, with easy cleaning and minimum ongoing maintenance. Flooring contractor, HolzMaXX, installed 100 square metres of Kährs Hard Maple Ontario and 450 squares metres of Cherry Santa Barbara throughout the facility. A new concept to an automotive showroom has landed in Ballindamn, Hamburg. The new showroom features leading technology coupled with traditional comforts to create a new shopping experience. Touch screen displays with configurator tools and personal consultation staff complete the interactive package of this showroom, whilst a centered bar and lounge area outfitted in Kährs Oak Sture adds traditional comfort to ease the mind from technological advances.
